TRUX Launches in Chicago

Waltham, Mass., May 20, 2019 - TRUX™, the first and only comprehensive dump truck logistics platform, is continuing its rapid growth with today’s launch in Chicago. With this new move to connect the dump truck community in Chicago, TRUX is now available in 12 states across the country and has increased its gross merchandise value 9,000 percent year over year. Additionally, headcount has grown to over 65 employees compared to 2 employees at the beginning of 2018.

The company is committed to expanding into 20+ states across North America this year. This continued momentum speaks to significant market opportunity and demand for the TRUX dump truck logistics platform. TRUX offers truckers, contractors and material producers key features such as automated dispatching, tracking, driver notification, paperless ticketing, and driver payment.

TRUX is an open marketplace that offers independent dump truck owners the opportunity to accept jobs they otherwise wouldn’t have access to. By using the TRUX platform, drivers determine their own schedules, giving them the freedom to pick the jobs they want, improve efficiency and reduce deadhead (the expensive time spent driving an empty truck). Additionally, built-in automation and management tools enable drivers to get paid weekly, earn rewards, and save on items like insurance, parts, and maintenance.

Some of the nation’s leading contractors and material producers, such as Benevento Companies, Rogers Construction, Vulcan Materials, and Lawrence Lynch, use the TRUX platform to add flexibility and scalability to their business operations. Hundreds of the nation’s leading contractors use TRUX to instantly scale their fleets for larger jobs through the platform’s marketplace and more effectively manage their regular drivers. Material producers can streamline their plant operations with real-time insight into material needs and site traffic.

“Entering the Chicago market has been a goal for us from day one,” said Jeff Gower, CEO of TRUX. “It’s not only a vibrant, bustling city, but going through a significant construction boom right now, with more than a dozen new skyscrapers remaking the city’s skyline. We’re looking forward to working with the city’s contractors, truckers and material producers and helping them run their businesses more efficiently.”
